Summer Program

As most of you know, Margo has been working at the St. Edward Summer Program, holding art workshops for the kids. Last week the project was to trace your body on a big piece of paper, and then go back and add the face, and clothes, etc. The kids had their paper spread out all over the Cafeteria floor, and then went to town. Thomas decided to take the art project a bit further over the weekend, as he tried to do this by himself. He was swimming, and decided he was done. He stripped off his swimsuit, went into the workshop, took out a Sharpie Magic Marker and traced himself on the floor of the workshop. Did I mention that he took off his swimsuit? He was naked when he traced himself with the Sharpie, and since he is only 4, the tracing wasn't easy. Not only do we have a permanent outline of Thomas on the floor, but Thomas also has several permanent marks on his body, arms, legs, and face from the sharpie. Margo has been having fun with the kids this summer. Hard to believe that the 4th is over and the second half of summer has started. The kids only have about 5 weeks left in summer vacation. Simon returns from North Carolina Saturday, I will be heading to New Orleans to pick him up at the airport.
