It's That Time of the Year

Girl Scout Cookies have returned. I don't know what they put in these things, how can anyone resist. Thank goodness Margo buys a bunch of boxes at school! Well, a bunch of boxes doesn't really go far in this household. My favorite are the Thin Mints and the Shortbread. Margo's favorite are the Peanut Butter. John Michael's favorite are the the Thin Mints, Thomas likes the shortbread, and the peanut butter. Simon loves the Samoa ones with the coconut. I think Ben likes the shortbread ones, he isn't around for the survey. Now, don't you just love the Nutritional Facts that are labeled on the side of the box. Like anyone is caring about nutrition when they open a box. For example, the basic shortbread cookies, serving size: 4 cookies. A mere 130 calories, 6 grams of fat, 17 grams of carbs, and 5 grams of sugar. But in reality, I can eat an entire box. Since there are 10 servings in a box, we get to 1300 calories, 60 grams of fat, 170 grams of carbs, and 50 grams of sugar. Not so bad, compare that with a Whopper w/cheese value meal king sized, 1400 calories, 80 grams of fat, but go ahead and throw in that Diet Coke, and all is cool. Hopfully your orders are getting to you soon!
