Soccer Season!

It was tryouts for Iberia Soccer this morning. Thomas is old enough this year to play, so it will be a first for both boys. The 4 and 5 year old tryouts were first..we had to wait in a pretty long line and boy was it hot! Fortunately I had grabbed a few bottles of water before we hit the field. They had to dribble the ball in and out of cones, and then on a small field for a short game of 3 on 3 soccer. The little kids are so funny, no one knows which goal is theirs, out of bounds doesn't exist, and if someone else kicks the ball away from you all you hear is, "That's Not Fair!". John Michaels group went a little faster, the same with the cones and three on three. 6 and 7 year olds have more of a control of the ball, but the "out of bounds" and "which goal is which" thing was about the same as the little ones. We should know about which teams they are on in the next couple of weeks and the season starts up later this fall.
