Big Sports Weekend

Tonight begins week 2 of Class 3A football. Catholic High School is up against West St. Mary Friday night. The Panthers are coming off a loss last week against Westgate High School 26-9. The last time these two teams were matched up was in the first round of the playoffs in 2005. CHS was the 3rd seed while West St. Mary was seeded last. West St. Mary upset the Panthers 17-7. Hopefully tonight we will have better luck. Both teams are coming together after losses last week. John Michael and Thomas both have soccer games Saturday. The jamboree kicks off early in the morning. Thomas and the Lions have their first game against the Sharks at 10:30am. Their uniforms are green with black shorts and green socks. Thomas is #3. JM is playing with the Raptors at 1:30pm hosting the Hurricanes. JM's team colors are orange with black shorts and orange socks. The uniforms are so bright they could play in the dark and light the field. JM is also #3 on his team, so we shouldn't forget which kid is ours. Thomas plays 3 on 3 soccer, JM plays 4 on 4. Scores are posted at the Iberia Soccer Association website.
