It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Well it is for me anyway. School has started now for everyone! Today was the first day for John Michael and Thomas, Ben and Simon had their first full day last Friday. This was the first time Thomas put on the St. Edward Uniform. I took the day off, I like to take the first day of school off for some reason. I was up before 6, got the coffee, and some breakfast ready. The little ones were up with me, Ben was up at 6:15 and Simon around 6:30. Margo got coffee and breakfast in bed since she was going back to school too. We had the beginning of the year photo shoot, and as you can see above, not everyone was thrilled to get their picture taken at 7am. Got the big boys to school on time, and then played the waiting game as JM and Thomas' orientation wasn't getting started until 10. We cleaned, made beds, brushed teeth, etc, and still had time to kill. We went to Ms. Lou's and showed off the new uniforms, then to Aunt Claire's where they raided her refrigerator and got messy with chocolate. We still had enough time to spare, so back home, changed into clean uniforms and headed to school. At school there was a short presentation in the cafeteria, then to the classrooms. Thomas has Ms. Janis delaHoussey (day-la-who'-see). John Michael is now in the 1st grade and has Ms. Margaret Caffery. Margo made her presentation with the limited edition "Katie's Vision" print for sale, and some of the money made will go back to the school funding the upkeep and landscaping for "Katie's Garden" in the back of the school. After a short time of filling out papers, and a quick lunch we are back home for the afternoon. Full days for everyone starts Thursday.
